Trust

Trust is paramount in our industry. As a digital wealth manager, instilling trust and confidence in everything we do remains our top priority. We've listed a few things that we've done to earn your trust, and have laid out our ongoing commitment to building a trustworthy and secure wealth manager in this post (*|LINK|*).

FCA authorised

Fountain is a fully authorised firm at the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 1078****) and is permitted to arrange deals in investments and offer restricted financial advice to consumers.

FCA Innovation Hub

Fountain was selected to take part in the FCA Innovation Hub in 2017, an FCA programme helping new and established businesses understand the regulatory framework, ultimately enabling them to introduce innovative financial products and services to the market. Even though we have been authorised, we still have access to the many resources that the FCA Innovation Hub has to offer.

FSCS eligible

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme ("FSCS") protects consumers when financial services firms fail or go bust. In the unlikely event of a default of an investment firm, customers can claim up to £50,000 in compensation per person per firm. As an authorised firm, our customers are always protected by the FSCS.

Processes and controls

We're constantly improving our processes and controls to make our platform is as secure as possible. We have our own in-house advisor that reviews our advice and investments to guarantee that it is suitable for our audience. Additionally, we employ third party compliance consultants to review our practices to ensure we are abiding by the highest standards of integrity and compliance.

Fighting financial crime

We have several measures in place to ensure that Fountain only onboards customers who are investing money that was earned through legitimate means. We take this very seriously, and are active members of the FinTech FinCrime forum where different players of all shapes and sizes share new insights and practices to reduce financial crime.
